Kess Thongteum, WHNP-BC

Kess Thongteum is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and certified through the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. She graduated from The Ohio State University with her MSN-WHNP in 2004 and received her BSN from the University of Florida in 2001. Since 2004, Kess has cared for women and men throughout the Piedmont with a heavy focus on gynecology and reproductive health.

Kess is passionate about serving patients and helping to reduce the anxiety that often comes along with their fertility journey. Understanding that each patient will bring their own unique story, she shares, “I want patients to feel heard during their visits”. Educating, listening, and being okay to share tears and laughter are elements that guide her practice.

A few weeks after graduating from OSU, Kess and her husband put down roots in the Triad. Since then, she has been proud to call North Carolina home, but also enjoys seeing the world one step at a time through hiking. At home she tends to what she calls her “suburban sized farm”… a dog that looks like Ed from the Lion King, a cat that rules the house, two Lion Head bunnies, and two
girls!

She is honored to have the opportunity to work with Carolinas Fertility Institute after years of referring patients to their phenomenal practice. She believes her compassionate care and expertise will blend well with the high standards CFI is world renowned for.
