It’s hard to believe how far Carolinas Fertility Institute (CFI) has come since its humble beginnings over two years ago. The practice started with a handful of key personnel in a small, temporary office space with a few folding chairs.
As we close out 2016, we’d like to review a number of key events and accomplishments that helped make CFI’s year a success.
Recently, the practice reported IVF success rates to the federal government that were significantly higher than the national average. This is a testament to CFI’s investment in the latest technology and the lab professionals including director Cihan Halicigil and embryologist Anu Koduru.
This past summer, CFI opened its Charlotte office in the Eastover Medical Park located at 2614 East 7th St. This opening coincided with the vital addition of fertility expert Dr. Tolga Mesen, head of operations in Charlotte. Dr. Mesen’ addition to the office has enabled them to continue and expand their patient care. CFI now has locations in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Charlotte to serve patients.
Essential staff, including Lori Marion, RN, BSN and Jennifer Howell, CMA continued their outstanding work for the practice. Key additions were also made to the CFI staff, which now totals over 18 employees.
Above all, there were 148 CFI babies born in 2016 (in comparison to 20 in 2015) and the practice increased our growing number of happy patients and parents. Furthermore, we continue to provide care and support to all of our patients who are still facing challenges. Over 30 people, including CFI babies and their parents, attended our first annual “CFI Baby Reunion” in October.
We thank all our patients, friends, and supporters for our current success. We look forward to serving you in 2017 and in the years beyond.
