SorrellsKatlyn and Rodney Sorrell were married in 2013 and were excited to immediately have children.

After a year without success, they consulted a local fertility specialist and were left disappointed. They felt little compassion and pressure about the cost of the treatment.

A friend recommended Dr. Tamer Yalcinkaya and Carolina’s Fertility Institute (CFI), a fertility practice with offices in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. The Sorrells, both 26, were pleased to find compassionate care, financial answers instead of questions, and success rates that soared above other practices.

“It’s was like night and day,” said Katlyn. “Dr. Y was so caring and we immediately decided to move forward with treatment.”

After their first cycle of IVF, the Sorrells were thrilled with the news of a baby boy on the way. Now Katlyn, a technician with Novant Health and Rodney, a Deputy with the Forsyth County Sherriff’s Department, are celebrating this Valentine’s Day at 19 weeks pregnant.

“It’s important to let people know there’s hope and the chances to get pregnant are very high if you select the right fertility clinic,” noted Katlyn.
